It started, as we might describe, semi-organically. Organic, for the meeting felt natural once it occured; semi, for an app, technically played its role in facilitating the occasion. We were a group of several individuals—a spectrum of characters—and had we not agreed to partake in a novel tasting at the same time, I doubt our paths would have crossed. All the more reason its out-of-the-blue appeal stays with me.
A Necklaced Afternoon
Until this day, our back-and-forth has been a succession of fencing carrots and swift rebounds, proof of how attentively we’ve noticed each other’s quirks. For instance, as we briefly mentioned a certain exhibition in the flow of our cadenced conversation, without skipping a beat, the suggestion emerged: “Next time, let’s go there together.”
